Cleaned squid in blocks

Scientific name: Loligo Duvauceli. A species of squid that can be found in the Indian Ocean, usually measuring between 15 and 30 cm.

Origin: India.

Fishing zone: FAO Zone 51/61. FAO Zone 51 is located in the Indian Ocean and extends from the east coast of India to the east coast of Africa, reaching the 45th meridian south. This zone is in turn divided into eight sub-zones. FAO Zone 61 is located in the Pacific Ocean and extends from the northeast coast of Russia to the China Sea inclusive. It is not subdivided into other sub-zones.

Presentation: 2 kg block. Cleaned squid in blocks, unlike I.Q.F. squid, is presented in a compact frozen block. In this case, 2 kg.

Size: The sizes of the cleaned squid blocks are U5, 6/10, 10/20 and 20/40. U5 contains 5 pieces of cleaned squid blocks per kg. 6/10 contains 6 to 10 pieces of cleaned squid blocks per kg. 10/20 contains 10 to 20 pieces of cleaned squid blocks per kg. 20/40 contains 20 to 40 pieces of cleaned squid blocks per kg.

Packaging: The box of cleaned squid blocks contains 6 blocks of 2 kg.

Glaze: The glaze corresponds to the amount of water contained in the frozen products. This glaze varies depending on the products and the type of freezing. At Torry Harris we prefer transparency and the glaze is always true to life.

Box: The size of the box of cleaned squid blocks is 12 kg.

Palletizing: We always work with a European pallet, which measures 80 x 12 x 14.4 cm. When palletizing it, we try to maximize it for transport, reaching a height of 1.90 m. In the case of squid, the number of boxes may vary depending on their size.
