The Algamar Group is, since 1996, the first Spanish company specializing in the collection and processing of edible seaweed for human consumption, being the first BIO range of products with seaweed in all of Europe.
In accordance with our philosophy and ecological commitment, we use renewable energy (photovoltaic solar panels and biomass boilers) for our production processes. The seaweeds are collected in the Galician sea by professional divers, during their optimal season, manually one by one, in a sustainable way, in monitored and clean areas; to be prepared and packaged in less than 24 hours, using traditional processes, preserving all the quality and organoleptic, textural and nutritional properties of the algae. We have a wide range of seaweed, formats and products with seaweed: frozen, dehydrated, canned, salted, flour; and prepared as pasta, pates, salads, pancakes, condiments... we also have packaged seawater suitable for food use. Seaweeds have important nutritional properties such as mineral salts and trace elements, high protein levels, almost the entire useful spectrum of vitamins and antioxidants, the presence of highly functional bioactive compounds for our body, dietary fiber. No sugars or fats. Its culinary uses are truly unlimited, matching any type of recipe or preparation, and enhancing flavors and aromas (umami), textures (gelling agents), colors and nutritional properties, resulting in the consumption of seaweed as a food with high nutritional value. , source of health and contribution to the maintenance of a healthy diet.
